As yet but knock, breathe, shine, and seek to mend;
That I may rise and stand, o'erthrow me, and bend
Your force to break, blow, burn, and make me new.
I, like an usurp'd town to'another due,
Labor to'admit you, but oh, to no end;
Reason, your viceroy in me, me should defend,
But is captiv'd, and proves weak or untrue.
Yet dearly'I love you, and would be lov'd fain,
But am betroth'd unto your enemy;
Divorce me,'untie or break that knot again,
Take me to you, imprison me, for I,
Except you'enthrall me, never shall be free,
Nor ever chaste, except you ravish me.
John Donne
God, please break me down. I am so weak. Make me a new person. Make me stronger. Increase my faith on You. Today the new raindrops from months have fallen on El Salvador. Wash me, dear Lord. For I am placing all my faith on you. I need you.

I agree with Karen. Amen to that!
I remember that out of so many things, what I mainly got out of Donne was his realness. How he shows himself to God just as he is - lacking, doubting, weak. We are never complete, always hungry, until He comes along and fill us with Himself. We cannot pursue faith by ourselves - it's a gift that He, and only He, can give. And I am sure that He is answering your request and prayer. He is able, and remember: with Him, we have everything.
I'm praying with you as well.
