Well, thanksgiving was a blast. But there wasn't a lot.
I had the chance to experience a real American Thanksgiving because a family from the church invited us over. The food was great, and now I have a better idea about an American meal, not being limited by hamburgers and fries. Well, there was the famous turkey, mashed potatoes, casserole, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, corn bread, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and anything else I forgot. Well, I stupidly filled my plate, and embarrassingly I was one of the last to finish eating. I didn't have to finish it up, but everything was delicious. And also I was warm by a cozy fireplace because it was so cold. They even told me that the top layer of their pool gets frozen.
Well, the American tradition in this dinner is that everyone says what they are thankful about. Well, I was thankful for having this experience of celebrating thanksgiving as I should, with real American food. I wanted to say more, but my shyness was an impediment. Luckily, I have a blog, and I can write everything that I can't talk about. Well, what I am really thankful for is finding a church, with great and caring brothers and sisters. And also I am thankful for God, because he is so faithful and powerful. And I am thankful for Jesus, for denying everything He had so that he could come to earth and save me from the sins which were blinding me. There's more that I am thankful about that I can't even talk about neither write them up. Jesus kindness is infinite.
Black Friday was a major disappointment. First of all, I don't have a car nor someone who could take me where I want. So I went to some stores at the mall nearby. The clothing stores were on discount, but the clothes were not that good and it was very crowded. But I did bought a pair of $1 earrings and $1 umbrellas. Maybe next year I would be able to go to Best Buy and buy a memory card for my PSP, and a digital camera or something else that I need. And also I should abstain from buying anything electronic until Black Friday. Next year I will plan something better.
Brrr, it's starting to get a little cold. I guess winter is coming. Fall semester should end soon. Man, what a semester!!! I love fall semester more than spring. I prefer thanksgiving over spring break. Eating is better than partying, I always say.
